Solent & Gosport Ice Hockey Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 12th August at 6.30pm in the Ice Rink Bar.

We have the following vacancies,

· Vice Chairman
· Club Treasurer (cv required)
· External club co-ordinator (job shared between 2 people)
· Safe Guarding Officer (knowledge of Child Protection would be beneficial)
· Sponsorship Secretary (job shared between 2 people)

Training is for 1hr, all ages, free to members, £10 to non-members

After 4 highly successful years in one of the most pivotal roles within the Club, Adrian Tull will sadly be resigning as Treasurer from July 2010. If you believe you can take on this extremely demanding position then we would like to hear from you.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role and should not be underestimated as an extremely responsible position which will demand a high level of flexibility, commitment, enthusiasm and dedication to ensure future growth and success of S&G IHC

The role demands that the successful candidate should be a highly motivated self starter, have a knack of meeting tight deadlines and the ability to communicate at all levels. If you are interested in taking on this role as Treasurer for the Club you will also need to be:

• Mathematical & organised.
• Have experience in book keeping or accountancy, with a proven track record.
• Assertive, yet approachable and able to negotiate on behalf of the Club.
• Able to deal with difficult situations.
• Able to give time every week.

If you already hold a post with-in the Club, i.e. Manager, Assistant Manager, Coach etc you will be expected to step down from this post if you are successful in becoming our treasurer.

Registrations will be starting from tonight (Tuesday 8th June).
Please see Natasha Hinton at the Rink during training times.
If registrations are received before 6th August then you only need to pay the same as last year's fees.
Please remember that the PLAYER has to sign the form no matter what age they are!
** Please ensure that registration forms are all in by 20th July or your child won't be able to play after the club shutdown unless forms are in - as they won't be insured **

Kit sale every first Tuesday of the month at the rink, during junior club training.

If you have any kit you want to shift - label it up with your name and a price and give to Natasha Hinton at the rink from. 10% of all items sold goes towards the club.

A fantastic way to help keep costs down if you need an upgrade for some kit! Some fantastic bargains to be had.

Also, if you are looking for kit inbetween kit sales, if you come to the rink during training times on a Tuesday or a Thursday - Natasha is normally around and so could help you out.
